2. Announce your publication/institution upon arrival in the chat. If you are not already associated with a journalistic publication or an academic institution, we ask that you do not use our chat room.
3. Do not chime in during discussions unless you are asked to do so by a user who is already aware of your research purposes.
4. If you quote from our chat room, you must ask permission from all parties quoted. In your final work, please change all associated usernames and any identifying information about the users involved.

Over all, please understand that our chat room is not intended for your use and will not cater to your needs above the needs of our primary users. We are usually happy to help if you have questions about us or our community, as long as you follow these rules. Thanks!

Your request will likely be granted if you ask first.
